GROUP PHOTO WORKSHOP - 2027
THE MAGIC OF WINTER IN THE ROCKIES. Set off to explore the Canadian Rockies in winter—a spectacular region where snow-capped mountains, frozen lakes, and waterfalls locked in ice create striking landscapes. Throughout this photographic adventure, you will have the chance to capture the most stunning winter scenery in Alberta and, with a bit of luck, encounter some of the wildlife that inhabits these mountains, such as foxes, deer, and bighorn sheep.
If conditions allow, we will also explore astrophotography to capture the starry sky. Our workshop begins around the time of the spring equinox—a particularly compelling period for observing and photographing the northern lights, as geomagnetic activity tends to be more favorable for their appearance during the equinoxes. Should the right conditions align, we will have the opportunity to capture these mesmerizing lights in the skies above the Canadian Rockies, while delving into the creative possibilities of astrophotography set against a spectacular winter backdrop.
Much more than a photography trip
As a photographer and geographer by training, I guide you through the Canadian Rockies with both an artistic and technical perspective. Having explored this region many times, I have developed a deep understanding of its landscapes and photographic potential, allowing me to craft an itinerary specifically designed for photographers. Throughout the workshop, you will receive personalized guidance to enhance your shots—covering everything from composition and mastering light to astrophotography and post-processing. I will share my knowledge and techniques to help you refine your photographic eye and get the very best out of your images. The workshop takes place in a small group, fostering meaningful interaction and ensuring that the support provided is tailored to each participant’s individual skill level and goals.
